Dear Yellow Jacket, 

Many of the wonderful and fine traditions we have at Georgia Tech were started by students. The Honor Code and Honor Advisory Council are two examples. The Honor Code, an initiative started by students in 1995 continues to serve our community today. It is an initiative that we are very proud of here at Tech.  

As a community of scholars, each student has a commitment to uphold the principles associated with the Honor Code. Our Honor Challenge speaks to the essence of these principles: honor, integrity and trust.

“I commit to uphold the ideals of honor and integrity by refusing to betray the trust bestowed upon me as a member of the Georgia Tech community.”

I ask that as you go about your day both in and out of the classroom, you remain mindful that your choices, behavior, and actions not only reflect you but reflect Georgia Tech’s name and reputation. It is the responsibility of the entire Georgia Tech community to uphold the principles associated with our Honor Code.
